92/100 – The 2022 Grüner Veltliner Ried Bürsting Reserve is made from more than 50-year-old vines rooted in heavy loam. It allows little flashes of white pepper to shine on the nose, along with hints of green pear peel and yarrow. The palate is dense, smooth, rounded and almost emollient with its concentration. A fine seam of freshness has glints of ripe lemon peel, while that Weinviertel pepper just peeps in at the edges. Smooth, gentle and generous, this has real contour.
