West Sonoma Coast at its most pure. Wet moss, redwood bark and bay laurel lift from the glass at first. These flavors are soon followed on the palate with impressions of cranberries, blood orange and cardamom. A complete wine that transports the drinker into the sea mist and surrounding coastal redwoods!
95/100 – The 2022 Pinot Noir Richardson Ranch emerges from a young vineyard in Annapolis. It’s a gorgeous wine for a vineyard in its first crop. Pliant and creamy, the 2022 shows the textural richness and intensity without excess weight that can be achieved in some sites on the West Sonoma Coast. Time in the glass brings out striking inner perfume, while a touch of whole clusters (15%) is not especially evident. – Antonio Galloni, Vinous
